Call Operator Command
Th
e 'Call Operator' command is used to call the STFax operator (the STFax
operator is the person who normally would sit near the STFax installation and
answer incoming operator calls) for further assistance.
An operator is often needed for callers who do not have a touchtone phone, so
are unable to navigate an advanced voice script.
- Sample: - this sample will be played to the operator in order to warn
of an incoming operator call. It will be played alongside the Call Operator Warn
window. The sample will be looped until timeout or answer.
- Play message: - this is the message the caller hears when they are
trying to be transferred to an operator. The default message is 'CallOp'
and states "We are trying to connect you to an operator...please hold...", which
loops.
- No operator message: - this message is played to the caller hears
when there is no operator or the operator is not responding. The default message
is 'NoOpertor' and states "All our operators are currently busy. Please
press 1 to leave a message or continue to hold for an operator".
- Timeout: - this is the timeout assigned to the Call Operator Warn
window, before it timesout and plays the 'NoOperator' warning message.
- Next command: - this is the touchtone required to move to the next
command, after timeout. For instance, if timeout is set to '60', STFax will
attempt to contact the operator for 60 seconds. If there is no response within
these 60 seconds, the 'NoOperator' message is played, and the caller is
given an option whether they want to continue holding for an operator or leave a
message.
If 'Next command' is set to '1', and the user presses '1', the script will skip
to the next command. Read the double
command script documentation for further information.
- Reason text: - any text inserted into this box will be shown when the
caller is trying to get the attention of the operator. For instance, you could
set up an advanced tree script to call
an operator when the caller needs urgent assistance. You could put 'Caller
requires urgent assistance!' into the 'Reason text' box, and the operator would
see this within the Call Operator Warn window.
